Two Juveniles Arrested in Arson Cases

Two juveniles have been arrested in multiple arson cases and are being held at the Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center as part of an ongoing investigation by the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office, the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and the Fire Marshal’s Office Arson Division. The church fire happened at Iglesia La Luz del Mundo at 25825 Aztec St. in Denham Springs. The other fire occurred at a trailer in the Eastover Estates. The teens have been booked with simple arson and investigators do not believe that these arsons involve hate crimes but do believe that they are random acts of vandalism.

Investigators of these arsons feel that more arrests will come in the next couple of weeks and think that the arrests will involve more juveniles. Both arson incidents occurred in the state of Louisiana but the two suspects are being held in Florida for reasons that have not been released by investigators. There have been a string of arsons throughout the area of these two incidents in Louisiana that the fire marshal’s office hope to have solved relatively soon.
