Judge Calls Drug Suspect 'Liar' Before Sending Him to Prison

A Florida Circuit Court Judge made a point to call Timothy Webb, sentenced to 15 years in prison for drug trafficking, a liar before sentencing him earlier in December. Webb claims he was forced into the drug deal that landed him in jail and court by an informant. The jury took only 45 minutes to declare him guilty and the judge dismissed any allegations of entrapment against Webb. Circuit Court Judge Pat Siracusa sentenced Webb to 15 years in prison and made it a point to say this to the defendant: "Mr. Webb, you're a liar," Siracusa said. "I don't believe anything you say. You went on record, on video and on audio. It's you making the deal at Chili's and at the motel; you're the one who showed up with $32,000."

Webb became a cocaine addict upon his move to Florida from Maine and used up to three-quarters of an once per day. He would frequently share drugs with his neighbor, Michael Henning. Henning informed the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office that Webb was looking to purchase cocaine in bulk to save money, which is what led to the bust of Webb and his now subsequent prison term.
