Expiring Temporary License Tag Leads to Arrest
An expiring license tag led the arrest of an armed and dangerous fugitive that police had been searching for in the Daytona Beach Shores area in November. The fugitive, Autumn M. Wigley, an alias for Allison Wigley, had multiple warrants issued for her arrest and she was listed in the criminal database as armed and dangerous. An officer patrolling on the 100 block of Cascade Terrace spotted a gray convertible with a faded temporary Florida tag. He ran the information and found out about Wigley. The vehicle disappeared and the officer released an APB about Wigley, who was later stopped on South Atlantic Avenue and arrested. She was held at the Daytona Beach Shores Police Department.
When police searched her vehicle they found a metal smoking device, rolling papers, a small amount of marijuana and white pills identified as Tramadol. Her wallet contained a driver’s license for Autumn Wigley and Allison Wigley with pictures that resembled each other. Wigley was transported to the Volusia County Branch jail with no bond. Wigley was charged with being a fugitive from justice, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
